About Nela
Fewer bags, better made.
Nela is a small label that designs its own bags. Twelve shapes, three colors and one material, for women who would rather buy one good bag than five quick ones.
How we work
Every shape starts on paper.
Before a bag exists, we draw it and write its tech pack: every measurement, every pocket, every strap. That same document is what you read on each product page, so the size, the weight and the pockets you see are the ones that arrive.
Each shape gets a name instead of a product code. Clara, Alma, Vivienne: twelve of them so far, each in the same three colors.

The material
Vegan leather, and we say so.
There is no animal hide anywhere in a Nela bag. The outer is vegan leather, most shapes are lined in polyester, and the hardware is metal. The exact material is listed on every bag.
Looking after it is simple: a soft, slightly damp cloth, no conditioner, and the cotton dust bag it arrives in.
How it is made
What holds a bag together.
Vegan leather is only as good as what is done with it. So we spent our time on the parts a photograph does not show.

The seams
Straps are box-stitched where they carry weight and pocket corners are bar-tacked.

The inside
Fully lined, with a zip pocket for what matters and, on many bags, a key leash.

Zip pulls engraved with our name, a small letter tag, and nothing louder than that.
